EVEN FRYDENBERG

Born: In 1964 in Oslo but he was raised in Kirkenes in Northern Norway, where his parents owned a hotel.

Background: Even studied international business and has an MBA from Stanford University in California. He has broad experience from the travel and hospitality industry in several countries and across 3 continents. Even started his career in the cruise industry with Royal Viking Line, and have since worked for ITT Sheraton and Starwood Hotels & Resorts where he held several executive positions, and Marriott International as the COO Franchise and Operational Support Europe while also being responsible for the integration in Europe, Africa and the Middle East when Marriott bought Starwood. After Marriott, Even joined Scandic Hotels AB as President and CEO in 2017 a position he held until January 2019. Even was invited to join the Board of Zaplox as the hospitality expert back in 2019, became the chairman in 2020 before stepping aside to become CEO in October 2020. He is a firm believer that the inherently conservative hotel industry is overdue for a digital transformation, where Zaplox plays a key role with their existing, in-the-market contactless technology and contactless guest journey, in addition to being the experts on mobile keys.
