Cheyne Capital

HOTELINTEL Consulting is proud to have supported Cheyne Capital with a long-term Asset Management engagement for The Hotel Maria in central Helsinki, Finland - from shortly after it's opening in December 2023 through its sale to M&L Group (June 2025) and rebranding as a Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts by Hilton.

The engagement began shortly after the hotel’s opening, providing continuous asset management support to Cheyne Capital throughout their involvement with the asset. The engagement included a post-opening initial audit and status review, followed by an active, hands-on asset management assignment.

As Asset Managers, HOTELINTEL was initially involved in advising Cheyne Capital, the local owner (Samla Capital), and the local management team with activities ranging from the daily operations of Hotel Maria, setting up and preparing the financial tracking and reporting systems on to driving the development of strategic initiatives and implementations to enhance performance.

HOTELINTEL actively advised Cheyne Capital and supported the operational team during the sale process, working closely with all stakeholders to help guide the hotel through a dynamic and ultimately rewarding journey.
