Background: Reinier completed his fast-track study at Stenden University in the Netherlands in international hospitality management in 2011 and completed his Cornell advanced certification in Real Estate and Hotel Investment in 2017. He has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and worked at various well-known international hotel companies around Europe. Reinier started his career in Feasibility at the regional head office of Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Brussels and moved to Hyatt International in Zurich thereafter. During his time in Brussels and Zurich, Reinier conducted many feasibility studies around Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
After several years in Feasibility, Reinier moved into the Acquisitions & Development area of the hospitality industry and worked several years for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Belmond in their development team, covering the European market. The changing market dynamics, innovative concepts and Reinier’s passion for travel and discovering new places/cultures is why Reinier is passionate about the hospitality industry.
Leisure: in his free time, Reinier likes to travel and explore, play tennis, spend time with his family and being outdoors. Reinier is always open for road trips and new adventures.
